I mentioned in my last blog that my sister Jessica won the bingo during our baby shower.  Well see below as she experly models her winnings

My gorgeous sister is about 2 days away from her due date to give birth!!!!  So I decided back at the beginning of September to hold a little baby shower for her...it was really just an excuse for a bunch of women to get together and coo over all the lovely baby presents.

 

I had some ideas in mind to make the shower a bit special so devised some baby shower inspired party games.

 

Saturday 9th September and guests arrived at mine for about lunchtime (and an hour later for the infamous Merry's )

 

After some lunch I organised the first game of the day...PASS THE PAMPERS!

 

Quite simply it was a rip off of PASS THE PARCEL but I actually wrapped the prizes up in small nappies....hence the title!  (No they were not used!!!)

 

It went down really well with pretty much everyone winning a small prize.

 

After a bit more chinwagging and swapping of baby and pregnancy stories (my cousing George had just given birth a few weeks earlier and my other cousin Claire is due in October) we embarked on the next game...BABY SHOWER BINGO

 

The concept exactly the same as the bingo we all know but this time, instead of numbers, the sheets were filled with baby related pictures.  My little sister Jessica won that one.

 

The last game of the day was along the lines of PIN THE TAIL ON THE DONKEY but instead of a donkey I had drawn a crying baby and instead of a tail we had a dummy.  I took great pleasure in blind folding everyone and spinning them in a frenzy but they quickly got the hang of it and Claire came out tops!

 

All in all the day was just totally lovely and my sister was showered with wonderful gifts.

 

Cant wait to actually meet my new niece/nephew any day now!!!
